
Senior Interior Designer
SYDNEY | FULL TIME
Our Interior Architecture team is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with high level of technical experience to support the Interior Architecture team across high-end projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a candidate with strong design skills, excellent documentation and communication abilities, and a keen eye for interior detailing. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to all phases of a project.
Your work day may include;
- Active design participant
- Client interaction during running of job, delivering client satisfaction
- Liaise with members of the external design team and other associated organisations and companies
- Responsible for checking team members work
- Responsible for production and coordination of documentation and specifications
- Liaise with senior staff members overseeing project
- Contribute quality technical design, pursue design excellence and innovation
- Direct involvement in managing resources and program for project
- Experience with finishes and fittings selections
- Ability to deliver to project milestones as scheduled
- Instigate project variations
- Implement the processes and procedures outlined in the practice management system
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
The ideal candidate for the role will be have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Completed Interior Design/Architecture or related tertiary qualification
- Minimum 7 years’ professional experience residential, hospitality and commercial projects
- Advanced level of experience using 3D BIM software (ArchiCAD), SketchUp and Creative Suite
- Previous experience in multi-residential would be preferable
- Previous exposure to retail, hospitality and hotels would be a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce full construction documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate careful attention to detail
- Very strong design skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong joinery and construction knowledge
- High level of supplier/product knowledge
- A self starter and proactive
- Practical and pragmatic mindset
Full-time role: 38 hrs/week
Salary: from $100,000 + superannuation
