
Architectural Draftsperson
We are currently looking for an Architectural Draftsperson with strong skills on all phases of a project from Concept Design through to Construction Documentation to join new and existing project teams. Our projects are broad in scope, typology, location and always exciting!
We are looking for someone who likes to be challenged to exceed their best.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Architectural Draftsperson some of your tasks/responsibilities will include:
- Client interaction during running of job, delivering client satisfaction
- Liaise with members of the external design team and other associated organisations and companies
- Responsible for checking team members’ work
- Responsible for production and coordination of documentation and specifications
- Liaise with senior staff members overseeing project
- Respond to team members issues
- Presence on office Panels
- Direct involvement in managing resources and program for project
- Facilitate communication within project team
- Attendance at project architects’ meetings
- Ability to deliver to project milestones as scheduled
- To pursue design excellence and innovation
- Instigate project variations
- Implement the processes and procedures outlined in the practice management system
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Completed Bachelor of Architecture and relevant Masters qualification
- Registered Architect (NSW) with 3 to 4 years’ experience post registration – preferably
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within the architecture and design industry
- Advanced level of experience using 3D BIM software, ArchiCAD (preferably)
- Advanced level of experience using SketchUp
- Working knowledge of the methods and techniques of computer technology applicable to Architecture and Design
- A strong eye for design and detail
- Strong communication skills to ensure accurate delivery of design
Full-time role: 38 hrs/week
Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)
