
Graphic/Wayfinding Designer

We are currently looking for a Graphic/Wayfinding Designer with immaculate technical skills, to join our well regarded Experiential Design team. We are looking for someone who likes to be challenged to exceed their best and who is determinedly creative.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a member of the Experiential Design team in an architectural firm, you are responsible for creating environmental design and branded physical experiences.
You will primarily be working on signage and wayfinding projects and permanent feature installations from concept design to design development and documentation through to construction under the supervision of senior environmental graphic designers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and documentation of environmental graphics and signage.
- Developing wayfinding strategies
- Developing pictogram design, mapping and themed environments.
- Wayfinding and environmental graphics project delivery from concept to production supervision and defects inspection.
- Supervising the junior team members.
- Liaison with signage contractors regarding signage specifications and construction details.
- Overseeing signage production, installation and liaising with signage contractors during the construction phase.
- Attending client presentations and briefing meetings.
- Keeping up to date with signage specifications, statutory signage and Australian standards / NCC.
- Image library – Maintaining, researching and regularly updating images, graphic content and format new images. Liaising with photographers for new images.
- Proposals and Submissions – Designing and layout of client specific presentations using templates and customising them according to presentation need.
- Logo and Branding – Creating new logos and brands for ad hoc presentations.
- Competitions, Awards Submissions and Presentations – Assisting teams with formatting, graphics and aesthetics of presentations. Design and prepare boards and reports. Produce slideshow templates.
- Website/ General updates of text, images and new projects – Formatting CVs and maintaining up to date individual photos, group photos and office photos as required.
- Social Media – Creating content, update and maintaining Turner social media pages.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or Industrial Design.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative suite.
- Understanding of Environmental Graphics and product design.
- A strong eye for design and detail.
- Good communication skills when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of 3D modelling desirable.
- Above all, a passion for spatial design and the built environment.
Full-time role: 38 hours/week
Salary range: $75,000-$80,000 (based on experience)
