Lindfield is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney. The name “Lindfield” means a clearing in the lime forest and derives from the name given by an early landowner, Francis List, to a cottage he built in the area in 1884. List likely named his cottage after Lindfield, Sussex, England.
Lime trees are a family of about 30 species of trees or bushes (genus Tilia). Tilia trees produce soft and easily worked timber, which has very little grain and density. Tilia trees symbolizes; Love, Protection, Luck.
The colour palette is light in colour with soft greys for the light scheme and soft green for the dark scheme. The design is targeted to a young demographic of families looking to buy a boutique home in the prized school catchment.
The change of light throughout the Australian seasons was a strong influencer to our design. The interior design maximises the natural light through open space planning and clever design details allowing the changing light to be showcased.
