The approach to The Majestic is a direct response to both the historical context and the future desired character for the site. It forms part of the new urban context of Rouse Hill, immediately adjacent to Tallawong Station.
The history of the neighbouring Rouse Estate directly influenced the design process. Rouse House is a prominent landmark building on the estate which has stood the test of time creating an important legacy for the area. The gravitas of this building captured our attention, in particular the composition of form and materiality.
We distilled these elements to create an architectural story via a series of building forms that have individual characteristics whilst being part of a familial approach to the site - a re-imagined composition of Rouse House.
The Majestic is a sophisticated and elegant take on the best of the past, brought into the future.
