The development spans two residential buildings and includes 102 apartments, 50 percent of which have been purpose-built for essential workers in aged care, health, education, emergency services and childcare. The remaining apartments have been sold as private residential housing.
A high quality of design was the driving factor of this project, with an emphasis on space, finishes and detail from the outset.
The two residential towers are curvaceous in form, following the contours of the land, with Meridian literally ‘veiled’ in greenery. The precinct enjoys beautiful views to Georges River in the distance and Miranda Park to the north of the site.
This iconic new building seamlessly blends high amenity and function for the benefit of Miranda and the broader Sutherland Shire.
Turner was inspired by architect Alvar Aalto’s iconic organic-shaped vase. This form not only responds to the contours of this site, but allows residents to fully experience the gardens and aspect from within their homes.
“We took a holistic approach with the design, from the built form, the landscaping through to the signage and wayfinding.”
Curves are celebrated throughout the design, including within the two entry lobbies.
Each building offers terraces and roof gardens, carefully crafted as a series of outdoor rooms that include multiple options for entertaining, or simply taking in impressive views.
